Aeroturn Turnstiles Selected by University of Pittsburgh

Leading Connecticut-based turnstile manufacturer selected by prestigious university to better protect students and faculty with the latest turnstile solutions.

Oxford, CT – March 3, 2020 – Aeroturn LLC, a leading turnstile manufacturer that offers 100% Made In The USA turnstiles, today announced that the company’s XWing turnstiles were selected and installed at the University of Pittsburgh’s Trees Athletic Center, located on campus. Aeroturn was selected due to its impeccable track record of delivering high quality turnstile solutions.

Aeroturn deployed three XWing lanes on a modular platform system in the athletic center of the university that were ADA compliant and ready to handle the influx of students that enter the building. The university chose this specific site as a testing ground due to the abusive nature of the students who would be using this entrance. Aeroturn turnstiles held true to its superior track record and passed the test with flying colors.

In addition, Aeroturn integrated the university’s existing blackboard readers as well as an extra proximity reader at one lane for additional personnel. “We are extremely happy that the Denisco-Kindler Group introduced us to the university, so we could provide the turnstile quality needed to meet the stringent requirements of Pittsburgh University,” states Michael Stoll, VP of Technical Sales & Marketing. “Working with the Denisco-Kindler Group and The University of Pittsburgh was a pleasure as everyone worked together seamlessly to ensure that the Athletic Center project was a success.” Due to the teamwork of all parties involved in the project, the costs of the lobby renovation were kept to a minimum and resulted in minimal interruption of the entrance during the installation.

With the initial project starting back in 2017, the university did their due diligence on turnstile manufacturers and Aeroturn came out the clear winner. In 2018, Aeroturn’s turnstiles were deployed on time and within the budget requirements.

“Working with Aeroturn on this and other turnstile projects is a dream,” states Rick Rollins, Electro-Mechanical Specialist at the Denisco-Kindler Group. “They deliver a long-lasting turnstile solution that can be customized to match any customers’ wishes while also providing outstanding installation services.”

Aeroturn continues to make great strides in improving school safety by bringing superior turnstile solutions to the plate.
